Gemengepakt vum interkulturellen Zesummeliewen

The law of 23 August 2023 on intercultural living together created the municipal pact for intercultural living together (Gemengepakt), which contributes to its implementation at the local level.

By signing the Gemengepakt, a municipality or group of municipalities, SYVICOL and the Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees commit to close collaboration, with a view to a multi-annual and participatory process that emphasises access to information, the participation of all people living or working in the municipality and the fight against racism and all forms of discrimination.

The Gemengepakt is divided into themed cycles, each of which takes place in five stages:

  1. Political commitment
  2. Situation report
  3. Citizen workshops to develop concrete actions
  4. Implementation of concrete actions
  5. Evaluation of the work done

The Gemengepakt is based on the pilot project of the “Pakt vum Zesummeliewen” (2021-2023), in which the following 32 municipalities took part:
