Schuttrange

The municipality of Schuttrange took part in the pilot project “Pakt vum Zesummeliewen” since its signature on the 22 of april 2022. 

A steering committee of 4 members has been set up to oversee the various stages of the “Pakt vum Zesummeliewen” project.

The municipality of Schuttrange already had some good practices in terms of intercultural coexistence before the signing of the Pakt vum Zesummeliewen (Schëtter  Treff55+ Survey, Youth Survey).

With regard to the implementation of the Pakt vum Zesummeliewen, the municipality of Schuttrange has decided to continue their "PINS" approach, and more specifically a municipal integration plan which had already been drawn up before the Pakt vum Zesummeliewen was signed. A survey was carried out during the PINS process, giving all citizens the opportunity to indicate their satisfaction with the basic needs defined by the economist Manfred Max Neef: subsistence, security, welcome and conviviality, understanding, participation, entertainment and leisure, creativity, belonging and freedom. 69 people responded to the survey, which was analysed according to the profile of the people in terms of their length of residence and their nationality.

Two citizen consultation workshops were held prior to the signing of the Pakt vum Zesummeliewen, based on the inter-municipal "PINS" approach and the World Café method. In the case of the citizen consultations for the PINS, the aim was to give residents a voice. Four different questions based on basic needs were discussed at four tables. Participants were divided into 4-5 groups according to predefined profiles. At regular intervals, participants changed tables so that everyone could contribute to each of the questions.

Overall, the majority of comments and proposals concerned citizens' attitudes towards each other, soft mobility and citizen participation. 

• Local market: 

The aim of the local and organic market is not only to promote local producers and their regional products, but also to create an opportunity for exchange and a meeting place. It will be held twice a month, on Sundays from 9am to 1pm, possibly alternating with other towns.

The municipality of Schuttrange signed the « Gemengepakt fir interkulturellt Zesummeliewen »  on the 27/03/2024. 

A steering committee of 6 members coming from the council of eldermen, the town council, the commission for intercultural living together and two associations has been set up to oversee the various stages of the « Gemengepakt fir interkulturellt Zesummeliewen »  project.
