Clervaux

The municipality of Clervaux was participating in the “Pakt vum Zesummeliewen” pilot project between May 17, 2021 and June 18, 2024.

A steering committee made up of 8 members from the local council, associations and the consultative committee for intercultural living together has been set up to oversee the various stages of the “Pakt vum Zesummeliewen” project.

While the municipality of Clervaux is already carrying out many actions to promote intercultural living together (Cittaslow, ‘Sinn an net sinn’, Jardin communautaire etc.), a situation report has highlighted other areas of additional interest.

This situation report normally consists of an awareness-raising letter sent to the citizens of Clervaux and an in-depth analysis carried out by our contracted partner CEFIS. These practices serve to give an indicative picture of living together within the municipality.

In Clervaux, the steering committee decided not to send out an awareness-raising letter and focused entirely on the statistical data provided by CEFIS.

At a prioritisation meeting on 27 April 2022, the steering committee chose the theme of ‘neighbourhood and intercultural dialogue’ as the field of action for the following year.

A citizens' workshop was held on 6 July 2022 with around twenty people to revitalise the “Noperschaftsexpress” project, where the foundations had already been laid before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The project involves a bus tour of various localities in the municipality of Clervaux. Led by our contracted partner ASTI and the ministry's living together advisors, the participants were able to choose the localities that would host the bus tour and agreed on the objectives of the event.

A report was drawn up and presented to the steering committee, which adapted the project slightly so that it could be implemented on the ground.

The project was presented to the local associations on 24 January 2023.

• “Noperschaftsexpress”

The project is divided into two parts: 

1. A bus tour with a certain number of local associations visiting four localities in the municipality of Clervaux. These associations will be offering a range of activities.
2. At the same time, these localities are organising a Neighbours' festivities and are decorating their villages accordingly. 

Several editions were planned until each of the 17 localities in the municipality of Clervaux was given the opportunity to take part in the "Noperschaftsexpress".

The first edition of the "Noperschaftsexpress" project was scheduled for 2023, but had to be cancelled just before the municipality elections of 2023.

• Meeting place in Drauffelt 

At the same time, a meeting point has been set up in the former school in Drauffelt. Every Saturday, non-Luxembourgish and Luxembourgish residents are invited to meet and chat between 10am and 12pm. 

The municipality of Clervaux signed the « Gemengepakt fir interkulturellt Zesummeliewen » on the 19/06/2024. 

A steering committee of 7 members coming from the commission for intercultural living together, the coordinator of the Gemengepakt and three associations (eg. The youth house and the Clubhaus op der Heed) has been set up to oversee the various stages of the « Gemengepakt fir interkulturellt Zesummeliewen » project.
